Bit guards are used between the horse's cheek and the cheekpiece of the bridle.
They prevent chafing or pinching at the side of the horse's mouth, particularly when a loose ring bit is used.
To Fit: use Vasoline or heat the bit guards in warm water to help the guards to glide smoothly
over the bit and prevent breakage.
